My blackberry sync keeps failing and wont add all my calendar items currently keeps adding previous

Keeps sync all old items and think this is blocking the current calendar items. It stops syncing mid way and trying to sync 600+ previous and current calendar items, Can we stop syncing the old and just sync today forward everytime.
